Conference Forum Announcement

We are pleased to announce that we will be using the virtual conferencing application gather.town to facilitate the hosting and interactivity of this virtual conference. This application will allow conference-goers to interact with posters, booths, and each other in a way that closely mimics an in-person conference. The entire conference is accessible through this software, though use of the software will only be mandatory for the poster sessions and sponsor booths. The oral presentations, keynote talk, and career panel sessions can be accessed either through gather.town (with an embedded link), or through the provided Zoom meeting links in the Meeting Details tab, under Program Agenda.

We are currently constructing the gather.town forum that we will use for the MIKIW 2021 conference. This forum will be open for up to a week before the conference and free for all to explore (note: there will be a maximum of 40 people allowed in at any one point in time). Details about the forum, as well as a link to get in, will be arriving soon. In the meantime, feel free to explore the gather.town conference demo Here.
